Membership conference round-up

It’s been membership conference season and the team have been showcasing our all-in-one membership experience platform, ReadyMembership at events in Chicago, Florence and London. Associations World Congress in Italy (9-11 July), saw membership delegates from around the world gather together to share their expertise and successful case studies.

Examples of international associations who are seeing success with ReadyMembership include the AAE award-nominated African Travel and Tourism Association (ATTA). Their platform is enabling members worldwide to easily share news, offers and guidance on the ATTA. Watch this video with Chief executive Chris Mears to find out more.

At Memcom Conference (29 June), our CEO, Alex Skinner was joined by Jen Sproul, Chief Executive of the Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) for a discussion - “How Can Your Technology Tackle the Cost of Living Crisis?”.  Read highlights of the session and discover how they delivered more value for members.

AMS Fest in Chicago (13-15 June) gave us insights into the differences and similarities between the UK and US membership sector and their tech challenges. Read our observations in this blog.

Membership platforms go live

BOSS Federation is the trade association for the business supplies industry and their new ReadyMembership platform went live in June.

They represent everyone in the supply chain - from the smallest retailer to the largest manufacturer - and provide guidance, training, events, ISO standards and accreditation in areas including the Environment, HR, Health & Safety and law.

Members now receive special badges to celebrate 5, 10, 15 or 20 years of membership. These are displayed on their logged-in homepage and member directory entry, and are also downloadable as a certificate. They are also benefiting from resources from the British Print Institute thanks to an API which pulls them into the platform.

BOSS also manage special interest groups on their ReadyMembership platform. Their admins give members access to forums which are available when logged in on the new website.

They are also using the platform to run their annual awards which has 18 categories. People submit and pay for entries on the website which the team review, judge, score and shortlist in the ReadyMembership platform.

A global platform for environmental science

The Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) also launched their new membership platform which includes website, membership management, email, events management and more.

They are a not-for-profit, worldwide professional organisation composed of more than 16,000 individuals and 85 institutions in more than 90 countries dedicated to advancing environmental science and environmental management.

Pixl8 help beat charity fundraising target

On Saturday 1st July, our co-founder Neil Rosewarn was part of a team helping to push, pull and carry his good friend Sean to the top of Snowdon, raising money for Back Up - a charity that supports people following spinal cord injury.  Sean was paralysed following an accident while snowboarding in April 2000 and the charity supported his rehabilitation.

The day before the expedition on Snowdon, Pixl8 staffers played to raise money for Back Up in a Business Fives five-a-side competition.

Both events raised £1087 plus £210 gift aid beating the fundraising target of £1000. Read Sean’s story and give what you can to support this vital work.
